Do you struggle to find the right words to express yourself? Are you stuck in unproductive relationship patterns with those closest to you?

Relationship counseling can help you better understand your internal world – how thoughts, feelings, needs, and actions are intertwined.

Whether you want some individual support to improve your current relationship or you’re single and want to find healthier ways to relate to others, we can work together to help increase your self-awareness and to develop coping skills to improve your relationship dynamics.

We all get stuck sometimes. I can help you break patterns of behavior that aren’t working for you or your relationships.

My work with individuals draws upon a variety of techniques and models, depending on the goals and preferences of the individual. Nevertheless, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) guides much of my work. EFIT helps clarify how thoughts, feelings, needs, and behavior are intertwined, both in our own internal world and in how we relate to others and how they relate to us. With this self-awareness, you can then break negative patterns in relationships to form relationships that are more vibrant and stable.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) also informs much of my work. ACT focuses on clarifying one’s values and using mindfulness to maximize your potential for a rich, full, and meaningful life

In addition to these well-tested methods, I bring warmth, humor, acceptance, and compassion to the process, honoring that relationships are complex and nuanced. It takes courage and introspection to grow. I look forward to helping you improve your life and your relationships.
